New Beginnings for our Historic School
Welcome to Belvedere Preparatory School (BPS).
Currently known as The Hamlets, the School will be under new ownership as of 1st July 2010.
From that date Belvedere Preparatory School will be independently owned and managed by a group of education and business leaders, who have confirmed a substantial level of new investment.
There are ambitious development plans, including the upgrading of the current sports and arts facilities.
In a gradual move to co-educational status, Belvedere Preparatory School now welcomes boys to join reception from this September.
Boys were introduced to nursery classes last September and Headmistress Jane Humble was very keen to extend the successful co-educational policy further.
The new board includes the current Headmistress Jane Humble, who has a wealth of experience formed over 20 years of teaching in her native Australia, as well as Germany, Turkey and the top performing London Schools.
The renowned educational expert Philip Friend, owner of a coveted National Leader in Education title, is the new Chief Executive.
Mr. Friend's leadership skills have been judged by OFSTED inspectors to be inspirational, exceptional and outstanding.
